Thoughts:
At the beginning of the month I regrouped myself. I wanted to stop the constant leak of money from my bankroll and I did that. I am playing really well right now. I am going to stick to what is working currently and see where it takes me. My goal for next month is to bring my total bankroll to $3000. Wish me luck, and thanks for reading my blog.

Played some more 1/2 and 2/4 NL on Mansion. I put in a decent session today. I love mansion cashgames and would suggest anyone to play in them. These players just suck. They don't have a hand history option though.

I ended down $60 in the horse game on stars. Man I just couldn't hit a hand. I thought I knew how to play razz. Well I didn't. I spent about an hour trying to figure out what hand beats what. I have finally came to the conclusion. If you know hot to play razz let me know. It all comes down to your lowest card. A234K looses to 8910JQ because the K is the lowest card in the other hand? Anyway I dumped some money on that.

I played the horse game on Pokerstars today. This game is awesome. You can tell people have no clue what they are doing. It is also alot of fun. I really enjoy horse.

Played some more 100NL 200NL. This game is still very soft. I started out pretty bad but made a huge recovery. I think I should be expecting varience in this game due to the fact that people are playing any two and will get lucky.

Now that I acutally have some money at risk, I may stick to the 100NL for a while to decrease my chance of ruin. I may take a shot or two at the 1/2.

Played some rebuy's to the Sunday 215 at Manison. Made the final table on both but needed the top 3.

All I can say is FU FullTilt poker. I can't win there to save my life. I am either a fish or just the most unlucky person in the world. Yesterday one of my biggest losses was with 1010 when I rasied 5x the bb and some one calls with 56o and flops 234. I just can't put someone on 56o there for some reason. Well I said I was going to play at Fulltilt until I went bust, and I went bust there so that is close enough. I don't think I will be playing the cash games there agian.

Here is another example of a hand. The was the last hand I played at FullTilt. Please be critical of this hand. I really would like anyone who plays NL and reads this to respond if they would have played this different. I just don't see how I can get away from this. This guy had been playing alot of pots, bluffing alot, calling and reraising with just A high. Then says I thought you actually had something after the hand. Did I not play this correctly? I bet 3/4 the pot and he calls with an inside straight draw? Can I honestly put this retard on A5?

All I can say is I am done with FullTilt. I have played approx 60k hands at that site and we are just not compatable.

After this hand I moved over to Mansion poker. I hit up the 1/2NL 6max table they had going. All I can say is that I love Mansion. I have never, I mean never played with worse players in my life. Playing at this table is site is worse than a play money table. I was taking their money left and right. All you honestly need is top pair or better and get ready for a pay day. I highly recommend this site for cash game players. These are some of the Loose/Weak players I have seen.

I managed to pull $380 out of the table in about 1 1/2 hour. I will be back there agian tonight.

8/23/06

Well you can't always be a winner, and today is one of those days. I was playing great and my hands were just not holding up. The total damage is -$180. I took some pretty bad beats early on, a couple unlucky situations QQ vs KK, and one very ugly beat.

I don't think I was playing badly. I have been thinking for the last couple of hours about my session. I played 6-Max $100NL today. I was playing TAG most of the time and just getting slaughtered. I have noticed that when I play LAG in 6-man cash games my $ wins are much better.

I am going to continue to play the 6-max 100NL tables for the next few days. I am going to play LAG at them instead. I only have around 5 buyins. I know these games are beatable. I am going to push myself to beat this game. I will only play one table at a time, concentrate 100% on that one table.

I will either succeed, win and continue to play. Or I will go bust and start over. At this point I am willing to take the risk.

Using the winnings in my mansion poker acct I decided to play in the $50NL games. They only had one table going. Man I don't think I have seen worse play in my life. These guys really suck and were just handing money away. I may continue to play some more NL there. I do have a 36% rakeback there also.

I deposited $100 in Starluck casino playing blackjack using a Scurvy Dog's $1000 to $30k in a year advice. I followed the guidelines in general, taking a couple risks here and there. Ended at $270 after clearing that $100 bonus. I might start doing more of these, they seem +EV

Tournament Win

This would actually go under yesterdays post, I am just going to make another entry for it.

While at work my brother wanted to play some poker so I let him log on to my Mansion poker account. When I got home from work he was down to 30 out of 573. He was in 3rd position. After talking for a few minutes we decided to put our minds togther and pull out a win. An we did spliting the money 55/45.

Goals: August

The month is half over but I will set a goal for this month anyway.

I am not really sure the exact amount of my bankroll, I am at work. Here is my reasonable estimate. $290. I really thought I had more than this but I think this is it. I recently cashed out $100 to buy a cd player for my car and must have lost more in the cashgames than I thought.

I know this isn't much but I can work with it. I feel like I am playing really well right now. I haven't really decided what levels I am going to play. I am going to take an agressive approach for the rest of the month. My bankroll management isn't where I would like it to be right now but neither is my bankroll. I am underrolled for the $20 HU but I am going to hit them anyway. I will set my stop loss at 5 buyins. If my roll reaches less than $200 I will force myself to move down to the 10's. I won't move up this month no matter how well I do.

My goal for the month is to bring my roll up to $600, using a combination of $20 HU, 25NL, and very small level MTT. I may thr0w in a couple SNG's also. I am trying to leave my options open so that I don't restrict my play to only one game. When I run bad in one, I am going to switch to a different form.

Hopefully I can reach $600 by the end of the month an open my options up a little more. There are some places I want to bonus whore but unless I have at least $600 I won't be able to take full advantage of them.

We'll see how it goes.

Goals

I haven't set goals for a while. I am in the mood to set some goals so here they are:

My goal is to make $5,000 by the end of the year December 31, 2006.

I will still set monthly goals that will pull me toward the 5k but the main goal is to make 5k by the end of the year.

I will leave my options open as to the types of games I will play etc. I still haven't calculated my bankroll so I don't really know where I stand right now, but it isn't over $500.

Didn't go that well today. My hands weren't holding up in my HU matches. Other than that I think I still managed to do ok. I have to work 12's today and tomorrow, I don't know how much I will be able to play.

I did notice the last few times I have attempted to play more than one HU at a time, my wins decrease. I think for a while I will concentrate on only playing one HU at a time and giving it 100%.

I played 5 $20 HU matches today. The play at the $20's is no different from the 10's IMO. In reality I should have won all of them but badbeats and suckouts do happen.

I played some more 25NL cash today. I figured 3 weeks without playing might change the horrible luck I have in them. Well it didn't. I swear I got my money in four times A 90% favorite and someone hits thier 2 outter. I just don't understand how I can have such bad luck at the cash tables these days. I ended losing around $60. I am just going to stay away from the cash games for a while again. I am doing ok in the HU play so I will continue with that. I don't really want to play 25NL or 50NL. I am only interested in playing 100NL an up. So I don't know if I will play cash games again until I have a big enough roll to support that. Of course I probably will change my mind in a couple days, but after getting slaughtered like last night, I don't know.

**Edit** I didn't realize the HU SNG's rake was only 5% instead of the normal 10%. So yesterday and today's #'s were off. I fixed todays. That is actually a relief to find out the rake is lower.

I am still getting adjusted to playing heads-up. I did well in all my heads up matches. I am slowing tweaking my game. Heads up is about the best form of poker to play. It is very entertaining and I am constantly learning.

Its a new month. Last month was just shitty. I didin't do anything but overplay my roll, not finish challanges and basically just blow money. I think everyone goes through these times in their poker career. I think I have pulled myself together. I have started this month off good so far.

I haven't done anything impressive so far, I am still trying to clear the pokerstars bonus, I am almost there. I have went back to playing 25NL and 5.5 SNG's. I am going to start playing HU SNG's today. I have noticed some other bloggers have had really good success with these. I am working on making back what I lost last month and getting back on track for my yearly goals.
